All-Star Internal Shell Umpire Chest Protector

I am very pleased with this chest protector. It took a couple times wearing it to get it adjusted just right but once you do, it’s great. Lightweight and sleek looking. I’ve taken a couple foul balls and it performs well. I highly recommend for anyone wanting something not so bulky and lightweight.

What I like about this chest protector is the sleek look. I like the lightweight feel and appearance. The protection from a pitch or foul ball is hidden with the plate beneath. I have not taken a pitch yet off it, but I am comfortable with taking one. The adjustable side panel and shoulder pads make the fit that much better. Much more form-fitting. Perfect for softball at any level.

Not confident this umpire chest protector will protect me in high school and college baseball. It's an ok fit but not for me.

Could not keep protector from moving up. Kept having to pull it down. Pad under neck was uncomfortable. Most likely due to my large size. Product seems like it is as advertised.

Great product, very light and comfortable. But I wish you could add a piece to make it longer. Took a shot of the belly that was not covered. Add a removable piece to give a few inches of length and it would be perfect.

I’m very pleased with this chest protector. It’s light weight and breathable. A much better fit than my old protector that looked like a set of NFL shoulder pads!! I did find the neck to be a little narrow, but after a little bit of tugging and wearing for a couple of times, that issue went away. I’d definitely recommend this chest protector.

Just purchased. Very comfortable and seems to breathe well. Had to adjust the shoulder pads because I’m broad, 5’10” 240. I’ll be happy to wear in the southern heat this summer compared to others out there. I’m wearing for baseball. Can’t go wrong with All-Star baseball equipment. Been wearing my entire career as a catcher.

Lightweight. Love the half size as opposed to the old school full size chest protector. Anxious to try it in the game.

Love getting the hard shell protection without the bulk and extra weight. All-Star continues to add comfort and sleek designs to their already great line of protection.

Lightweight, comfortable - wore it for three games in a row. Took an 18U fastpitch foul ball to the chest and felt the same impact as in a hard shell. This protector is so adjustable. Feels almost custom built and is so light and breathable. I'm wishing I would've had it the past few summers. Looking forward to summers to come.
